Don’t forget to press CTRL+D on your keyboard to bookmark this page for free computer help in the future!

The redirect video below deals specifically with the redirecting viruses. There is also a full virus removal and tune up series found on this page…enjoy!

Do you have a virus? Don’t worry about it. With computers you can ask them to do things…and you can tell them to do things.

So you can skip to steps below if p.c works somewhat. But what if your computer is all messed up and won’t let you do anything? Safe Mode With Networking! Turn p.c off totally. Then turn it on…here is the catch – the instant you push power button to turn it on immediately begin tap tap tapping on the F8 key and keep tapping until you see “Advanced Boot Options” Select “Safe Mode With Networking” this loads basic things and helps quiet down virus activity so you can run a virus scan.

You can’t even do anything in Safe Mode? You still have some options. System Restore, Factory Recovery, or taking hard drive out of laptop and buying a little wire that lets you connect hard drive to another computer…then run scans or check disk.

System Restore can be accessed by tapping a “hot key” while computer is booting up. This varies on different p.c’s but its usually F11 or F10. Remember your playing hard ball at this point and data may be lost, though the computer should give you warnings and such before anything like that happens.

Here is my preferred method when showing these viruses who’s boss.

1. I like to do “disk clean up” and run “c cleaner” this makes the virus scan go faster (less to scan) and it makes your p.c faster. Disk clean up>START >ALL PROGRAMS >ACCESSORIES >SYSTEM TOOLS >DISK CLEAN UP. Put check mark in everything except “set up log files” you’ll see what I mean.

2. C Cleaner is free download online from Piriform. The videos show the simple 2 step process.

3. Now for Super Anti Spyware or Malware Bytes. Again free, safe, download pro version, and do full scan.

4. If the virus is still there it may be a root-kit or redirect. For this you would use Kasperkys TDSS Killer found in highlighted link. All of the above mentioned are free.

5. Further steps shown in videos cover things like checking and or repairing browser settings. Like I.Explorer, Chrome, and Firefox.
